And because I can

My human friend went back to NZ for her sister's birthday almost a year ago. She had a jaunt up through the North Island after that and had a night at Mt Ruapehu. She took these three photos in the few hours between arriving late afternoon and leaving mid morning - changeable weather I'd say.
PS I like the look of NZ - I think I'd like it there. Lots of sheep, nudge nudge

The weekend

'Scold! We had such hot weather a while ago - far too warm for this time of year but the cold is back with a vengeance. I think I should sleep inside; my human friend says no way - she doesn't trust me. Now, is that a nice thing to say, or what! 'Tain't fair - the felines get to sleep inside... Still, I do have a nice kennel and she went to such lengths to get it for me that I guess I should use it!

The socks that were

I'm a dog (blimey, I intially typed 'god' there - obviously a Freudian slip!) so you (and she!) should know that I like smelly things. Therefore, why should my human friend be surprised to find one of her favourite socks with a chewed hole in it. It was very tasty and smelled good. She just made a mistake leaving me alone with her shoes and socks for more than couple of minutes. I think she should be grateful I didn't chew her shoes - they cost a bit more to replace!

Anyway, it will be good to have her home for the weekend - we go for longer walks then and I have a better chance of meeting up with some new canine friends - it is fun to play chasings with them. Not to mention all the new smells ...

And the cats get to come and play outside too. Most of the time they ignore me (can you imagine that!) but the black one sometimes runs to climb over the fence so I give him a hurry-up. Mind you, I have to be a bit careful of the girl cat - she has been known to get spiteful- for something so small, she has an amazing hiss and swipe routine.

Leaving home

Nothing like an adventure - whether it be travel or venturing into 'new' technology. So I'm on the way; I've left home, so to speak. I'll follow my nose (since I'm a dog, that makes perfect sense).
That's me in the picture and my original owner's legs. He left me for someone else! I think I got a good deal ;=)
